CAROLINE BERGONZI,
MONACO ARTIST, Caroline Bergonzi participated in the exhibition "Square Foot Show 2008” of the Soho based Art Gotham Gallery. At the opening, on June 7th, the visitors discovered her "Four Elements”, a new composition of 4 new paintings (one square foot each).
After the impressive series of Mandalas in black on white, exhibited last
month at Philip Pelusi’s Arium, we were entitled to expect a simple
prolongation of the theme. Yet, Caroline Bergonzi surprised us with a
brand new quadripartite art work, symbolic, multidimensional, complex
and colored. An invitation to time & space travel. A reinterpretation
of the Asian religious architecture under the form of the four elements
(fire, air, water, earth), where the colors and symbols, closer to the
Tibetan chortens than the dagobas or Indian stupas, create a three-dimensional,
complex and surprising effect. Once again, Caroline Bergonzi invites us
to the games of the soul and spirit, to the vulnerable opening to the
mysteries of the human being, desperately in quest of his cosmic nature
and of symbiosis with his environment. Her work is an invitation to the
global, to the intellectual effort, to the well-being and to the sharing. The ART GOTHAM annual “SQUARE FOOT SHOW” exhibition is open to the public June 7th to July 12th, Thursday to Sunday, 1 to 6pm. The gallery is located at 192 Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Avenue btw Spring and Prince), New York, NY 10013. For more information, contact Kimberly Salib (917) 319-2030, or visit www.artgotham.com. CAROLINE BERGONZI’s creativity is
at the level of her mind, curious, playful and passionate, and applies
to anything that she undertakes. Through years, she developed very various
projects in the arts as well as fashion and design. Fascinated by the
human mechanisms and psychology, she even imagined an educational program
to transform stress into creativity (visit www.myartattack.com). Contact : Olivia Richard,
